Privacy Policy for Platera

This Privacy Policy explains how Lukas Apalovic ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Platera mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in, we use Firebase Authentication to create and manage your account. This may include your email address and a unique user identifier.

Content you create. Meal plans, dietary preferences, and related settings you enter are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so they sync to your account.

AI meal generation. When you generate meals, your relevant preferences and inputs are sent to OpenAI to produce results. We do not send your account credentials to OpenAI.

Analytics & diagnostics. We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand usage and diagnose crashes. This includes device model, operating system version, app version, anonymous usage events, and crash reports.

Advertising. The App shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier to serve and measure ads, including rewarded ads used to unlock features.

Third-party content. Meal images are retrieved from Spoonacular, Unsplash, and Pexels. These requests fetch images and do not include your personal account data.

How We Use Information

• To analyze usage and fix crashes and bugs
• To maintain security and comply with legal obligations

Sharing

We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf: Google (Firebase, AdMob), OpenAI, and the image providers listed above. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at apaluk@gmail.com. We will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Children's Privacy

Platera is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country, including the United States, by the service providers listed above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
